A UW student and his brother are being credited with saving a woman who had been missing for weeks. Peter Kottke, a UW-Madison junior was backpacking with his brother in New Mexico., when they heard a faint sound that turned out to be 52-year-old Carolyn Dorn.

Edgerton Teen Killed in Early Morning Crash

Weather and speed could have played a role in a crash that killed a 16-year-old Edgerton High School student. Taylor Falligant was killed around 7:30 this morning after she lost control of her truck on Highway 73 in the Town of Albion.

Judge Won't Delay Avery Trial to Test Old Blood Sample

A judge denies a request by prosecutors to delay the murder trial of Steven Avery. Manitowoc County Judge Patrick Willis rejected today the motion by prosecutors so blood taken 11 years ago could be retested to make sure it wasn't used to plant evidence against Avery.

Man's Fiancee Says Hunter Killing in Self-Defense

The fiancee of a man jailed in the death of another squirrel hunter in northern Wisconsin says the suspect was shot once in each hand before the two wrestled in the woods and he stabbed the victim with a knife he carried to cut the tails off his quarr.
