There are many places where your kids can get a good workout. But in Tonight's Hot Trends, one concept that really seems to be taking off.
Parents these days grew-up active, so they want to be active with their children. And that concept is what's fueling certain kids of gyms popping up all over the country and right here in the Madison Area.
The Little Gym, both in Fitchburg and in Middleton, are doing very well. The concept caters to a new generation of parents.
"Parents are looking to do things with their children that promote physical activity," says Cindy Joers, owner of The Little Gym.
But its not just about the physical activity for the kids at The Little Gym that makes it so popular with parents. Kids here learn many other important skills.
"Its also the emotional and social skills that they develop at The Little Gym that parents see the benefit of both inside and outside the gym,"
"One of the things about The Little Gym is that it gives the children an opportunity to be in a space that is non-competitive that is fun and its a safe nurturing environment."
You can see it on their faces, these tots are having a good time and their parents are as well.
They offer classes for these young ones, all the way up to 12 years old.
They have cheerleading, karate and other dance classes, as well. For the fall schedule and more information on The Little Gym, please go to our webchannel and click on News Links.
