The fall or "harvest season" brings out the best in many of our local communities.
During tougher economic times, why not stay closer to home, but still get away?
For many, their favorite season is the Fall. So NBC-15 picked one B&B nearby to show you that you don't need to travel far to travel well!
The Cambridge House Bed & Breakfast in Cambridge has a stately look to it. The building is more than 100 years old.
Not only is fall a beautiful time in Cambridge, you can have the place practically all to yourself with the summer vacationers gone.
The property comes with a gorgeous garden so you will enjoy the views of Fall from your room.
Or how about your own private Log Cabin Suite without spending the gas money to get up north?
"We went to a lot of B&B's and a lot of B & B's are very Victorian and they're beautiful, our place, even when I walked into it the first time had this very comfortable feeling so we came up with the Log Cabin Suite. It is unique, but very, very comfortable"
If you like Victorian, no worries, they have the Scarlet Room for that.
Or if you crave a Tropical destination, the Tropical Room will suit you well and will make you feel like you are in Hawaii or Jamaica.
Many people also come to B&B's for the food. Jeff studied at the Culinary School in Chicago and his breakfasts are masterpieces.
Cambridge has great shopping and restaurants. So we wanted to remind you that you can still get away but not go far.
