Leaving your pet at a boarding facility when you're on vacation or at work can be very stressful for both the dog and the owner.
In this week's Hot Trends, inside a dog kennel in Marshall that some dogs may never want to leave.
Boarding our pets is nothing new, but one kennel in Marshall is taking it to the next level to make sure your canine feels at home when they are away from home.
Open now for more than 2 years, All 4's Pet Care looks more like a home and less like a boarding kennel. There is a large room for dogs to play in and huge outside run area.
But check out the Family Room.
"It kinda mimics a family room so the dogs feel like they're at home - so this is there home away from home," says Tami McNamee with All 4's Pet Care.
The dogs have couches and comfy chairs all to themselves and even a TV to keep them company.
And the kennel area uses that same philosophy. They don't call them kennels, they call them suites-- complete with toddler beds!
"We were against a traditional kennel with chain link and cold concrete floors and I thought if we made the suites homey that it will relax the dogs as well."
Each suit has a privacy door to make the dog feel more protected and they play classical music to help the dogs relax.
There's even a roomy K-9 taxi if you can't drop your dog off before work too.
They go the extra mile for dogs and their reason why is simply this: "The love for dogs. I just love dogs and I have an interest in animal behavior as well."
