We have seen just about everything these days in health clubs and gyms. But one program at a new health club in Madison is cutting edge. That's why The Athletic Club of Madison makes this week's Hot Trends.
Health clubs are popping up all over town.
This is the newest. The Athletic Club of Madison almost on the corner of University on Segoe Road.
It has a coffee & shake bar and even tanning beds.
But the Athletic Club of Madison has something new, the "visual fitness planner". State of the *art help in reaching your fitness goal.
"We have a program or couple of programs set up - software programs set up where we give people a visual before and after what their bodies look like now and what they can look like later. "
Here is a real client. To the left is what she looks like now and to the right is what she should look like in September if she follows their program.
There is also a very accurate, sometimes surprising program that tells you what your so called "health age" is...
"In that program - it lets people know their health age, their actual age... their health age and their goal age. They are surprised what their health age is when they see their 'health age' because it many times is much older than what they actually are. "
In this case, the client is in her late 30's, but her body condition has her at almost 50.
The program also shows what you maybe at risk for... like stroke.
The Madison Athletic club is not just computers, they offer aerobics, yoga and of course, all the traditional fixings of health clubs.
