We are taking a look at green products in this week's hot trends.
Today we show you how you can keep your lawn green and go green all at the same time.
This is University Ridge Golf Course here in Madison, this is one local golf course that is reducing harmful emissions.
The courses uses this propane fueled zero-turn radius mower.
It is made by Ferris Industries which is a subsidiary of Milwaukee based Briggs and Stratton.
The ripple effect is great when golf courses use these because they play a part in helping to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and it helps us clean up the environment.
"Propane does both of those things. It's here, the advantage of propane today is that it is available today. You can see it has been in work all week. They are in operation all over the country. Available right now."
Much of the propane used is also produced in this country.
And as for the environment, these mowers produce 77 percent less smog producing emissions and reduces greenhouse emissions by almost 50 percent over gasoline models.
