In Hot Trends: Superheroes and scientists are teaming up to offer a one-a-kind summer camp experience for kids. Its an effort to reach out to tech savvy kids today through Howtoons Summer Camps.
There are 7 week-long camps being offered this summer starting next month. Each camp uses the concept of "expeditionary learning" by integrating arts and sciences, both indoors and outdoors.
The camps reflect the needs of kids today, involving technology, the sciences, engineering and design, creative thinking and problem solving.
One camp shows kids how to fence or sword fight while also learning the art of storytelling and graphic design.
There's a lego robotics camp that teaches kids about ancient mayan architecture and archeology.
This is a pilot program and if it is successful, it will be used as a model nationwide.
