There is a website that offers free food or goods in the Madison area.

It's called "Phreeps".

All you have to do is log on. Signing up for membership is free and takes 30 seconds of your time.

Everyday there is a new, free deal.

For example, on the home page it will say a restaurant and what you can get there for free for that day only, but you have to know the secret password.

You need to log into the site to get the password.

Sometimes, the free offer is good for only the first 20 people to show up at the restaurant and say the password, so you have to act fast

Participating restaurants include Casa del Sol, the Laurel Tavern, Sprecher's, Pedro's and Gray's Tied House among others.

Businesses include Gymfinity and Renew Skin and Laser.
