Hot Trends: Wine-Tasting Parties

POSTED: Thursday, July 7, 2011 --- 2:30 a.m.

This is a great time of year to get together with friends, but wouldn't it be nice for someone else to do all the planning and run it for you?

There's a company called "Wine Shop at Home".

The way their wine tastings work is that the host buys the wine which is ordered directly from their winery. They have several kinds of their own wine made in the Napa Valley, red and white.

They walk you and your guests through a professional yet casual tasting. all you pay for is the wine.

They show you how to smell, swirl, sip the wine properly, how each wine was fermented and which flavors you may be picking up on. buy the wine you like.

They will even make custom labels for your party.

They will also work with the host and give them food pairing ideas such as the right cheeses and chocolates that go with each wine.

Normally it's about $60 for six bottles. Guests at the party can buy the wine, if they like it. Right now they are running a summer special.

Also, are you looking for work in a part-time job? No experience is needed. They'll teach you.

This is a fantastic party! I recently had one with about 8 ladies for a Girl's Night Out and we had a great time. The wine was fantastic and we each bought a couple bottles at the end of the night. Great fun!
