UW-Police have indentified a suspect whom they say walked into a dorm room, grabbed a girl by the throat and then demanded money.

It happened just before midnight Tuesday in the "A" tower of Witte hall.

Police are currently looking at surveillance video to see if they can find how the suspect got in the building.

UW dorms are locked down at night and visitors are supposed to be escorted through the building.

Police say the two girls were sitting at their desks studying when the man walked in.

Sgt. Mike Newton of the UW Police Department, "The subject walked into the room, immediately grabbed the one female by the neck. He demanded all their money and valuables, locked the girls in the room while they got anything together that he wanted to take."

Niether girl was hurt in the robbery.
