UPDATE: Burglary Suspects

Dane County sheriff's deputies have arrested a second suspect in the burglary of the Mobil Quick Stop in the town of Dunn.

45 year-old Phillip Smith is being held in the Dane County jail on tentative charges of burglary and party to a crime.

Just after midnight authorities were called to the quick stop for an alarm.

When they arrived a masked man, 24 year-old Nathan Mistle, was seen leaving the store.

He was arrested and booked on burglary, criminal damage to property and other charges.

UPDATE from the Dane County Sheriff's Department:

Through subsequent investigation, a second suspect in the burglary at the Mobil Quick Stop in the Town of Dunn has been identified and arrested.

Dane County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested Phillip W. Smith, age 45 of Fitchburg. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of Burglary – Party to a Crime.

Madison, WI. March 7, 2008. -- At approximately 12:14 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with officers from the Village of McFarland and City of Stoughton, responded to the Mobil Quick Stop, located at 1888 Barber Dr., Town of Dunn, for an intrusion alarm.

Upon arrival, a masked individual was observed exiting the premises and was taken into custody by deputies.

Nathan J.H. Mistle, age 24 of Madison, was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail on the following charges: Burglary; Possession of Burglary Tools; Criminal Damage to Property; and Resisting.

The Burglary remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

    I often wonder where some of these people would be in life if they would put just 1/5th the amount of energy into something good.
