2 Madison men mugged at gunpoint

Madison Police say two men were mugged at gunpoint Sunday morning.

The crime happened around 1:07 a.m. in the 300 block of E. Johnson St.

The men tell police they were approached from behind by two other men. One was armed with a handgun.

The robbers got away with a wallet.

A police dog tracked the robbers to an area where it appears they got into a car.

Police describe the suspects as:

1. Male, black, 5'9" to 5'11", 170 pounds, 20's, athletic build, short hair, scruffy beard, wearing a maroon sweater and dark jeans.

2. Male, black, 5'9" to 5'11", athletic build, wearing dark clothing.
