Madison Detectives continue to investigate after materials possibly used to make an explosive device were found in an apartment.
Police arrested 20-year-old Andrew Cockerham Saturday after reportedly finding suspicious material in the apartment in the 10 block of N. Brooks St.
Officers have requested help from other agencies, including the FBI, the Dane Co. Bomb Squad and the Wisconsin National Guard 54th Civil Support Team.
Cockerham has reportedly told authorities he's involved in amateur rocketry, and that chemistry is also a hobby.
Detectives are trying to determine if there were other reasons why he would possess some of the materials.

A Wauwatosa man is behind bars after police found materials to make explosives in a Madison apartment.
Madison Police got a report of suspicious materials in an apartment on North Brooks Street. Officers found items and documents indicating the manufacturing of an explosive device.
20-year-old Andrew Cockerham was arrested and has been charged with possession of improvised explosive materials.
