UPDATE: CrimeTracker 15: 91-Year-Old Woman Robbed

A 91-year-old Fitchburg woman was robbed while walking. UPDATE: An arrest has been made.

UPDATED Monday, November 24, 2008 --- 10:50 a.m.

Brandon L. Lentz, age 20, Madison was arrested last Friday afternoon on a tentative charge of Armed Robbery. Surveillance video obtained from the Laundromat helped detectives identify Mr. Lentz as the suspect.


Monday, November 17, 2008 --- 11:25 a.m.

On Friday morning, November 14, 2008, around 10:30 a.m., Madison and Fitchburg Police responded to a strong-armed robbery that had just occurred in the 2900 block of Coho Street. A 91-year old Fitchburg woman says she was on the east side of the street walking northbound when she felt the presence of someone from behind. The next thing she knew there was a tug on her purse. A thief was grabbing at its strap. Once he had stolen it he bolted eastbound on Coho. The purse was later recovered at a nearby Laundromat.

Perpetrator is described as a male, black, 20 years old, 5'2", 130 lbs., wearing a blue coat over a gray hoodie.

Female, age 91, Fitchburg
Victim was not injured.
