The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents in the town of Roxbury of a recent rash of daytime burglaries.
Between Wednesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 20th, six homes were broken into through forced entry or unlocked doors. The thieves stole items such as televisions, computer equipment, cash, and jewelry. The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents in the town of Roxbury to be watchful of activities in their neighborhood and report anything suspicious to authorities immediately.
No matter where you live, the holidays are a time of year when incidents of theft increase. Remember to keep homes, garages, and vehicles locked at all times. Consider using a home safe to protect valuables, and work with your neighbors to establish a neighborhood watch group.
