Incident report from Madison Police Department:
On Thursday night, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Madison Police responded to the 600 block of Dickinson Street after a 27-year old woman was mugged. The victim said she was walking on the east side sidewalk when she heard voices behind her. She took note of two men talking loudly. She then heard quick footsteps, and was tackled by one of the men. He punched her several times in the face, and stole her leather messenger bag, which contained numerous personal items. A police dog also responded to the scene and picked up the perpetrators’ trail. They were not found, but the K9 was able to locate some of the victim's belongings.

Victim suffered cuts to a wrist, and to her cheek. She also had facial abrasions and swelling.
