Information from Sauk County Sheriff's Office Press Release:
On 07/31/09, a resident of the Town of Dellona reported having 2 white males approximately 30 years of age enter her home claiming to be state investigators and having a search warrant. At least one of the subjects wore what appeared to be a firearm in a shoulder holster. Neither subject identified themselves by name, rank or agency.
Suspect #1: 6', 220-225 lbs., brown hair parted on the side with long sideburns, broad shoulders, wearing black suit with white shirt without a tie and black loafers.
Suspect #2: 5'5", 150 lbs., light blonde hair with shaved hair cut, stocky build, wearing a dark gray suit coat with white shirt without a tie, light gray pants and black shoes.
The suspects were driving a dark blue mid-sized car, foreign make, with dark tinted windows. Suspects had official-looking paperwork. Suspects spent several hours searching the residence and removed computer hardware and software as well as a camcorder from the residence.
The public is reminded that from time to time search warrants are executed by several different local, state and Federal agencies in Sauk County, however in all cases officers involved can identify themselves with photo identification and will provide a copy of the warrant and a property receipt for any items seized. Area law enforcement agencies were contacted and none have advised that they were involved in executing a search warrant in Sauk County on 07/31/09.
The Sauk County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate this incident, which is believed to be criminal in nature.
