Man Busted After Robbing Pizza Delivery Driver

Press release from the Janesville Police Department:

On August 4, 2009 at 11:09 p.m. Janesville Police Officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery that took place in the 900 blk of Benton Avenue.

A pizza delivery driver attempted to deliver two pizzas and was met in the driveway by the suspect who displayed a handgun in his waistband and demanded money and the pizzas. After receiving the items, the suspect fled on foot in a northerly direction.

Officers searching the area found a facsimile firearm lying in the parking lot of a nearby church.

A citizen in the area saw a person matching the description of the suspect go into the residence of 1121 Milton Avenue. Contact was made at that residence and the suspect, Thomas McKee, was subsequently located and arrested.
