UPDATE: Bank Robbery in Sun Prairie

UPDATED Wednesday, February 3, 2010 --- 11:41 a.m.

Release from the Sun Prairie Police Department:

Two suspects in the robberies of the Sun Prairie Summit Credit Union and East Towne Chase Bank in Madison have been taken into custody. On Sunday January 31st Sarah M. Dupleasis from Stevens Point, DOB 11-14-1986, and Daniel M. Needham from Wausau, DOB 09-19-1984 were taken into custody in the Chicago area. The first robbery, in Sun Prairie occurred at Summit Credit Union on Thursday January 28, at 4:30 pm, and the second robbery at Chase Bank in Madison was on Friday January 29, at 10:30 am. Both suspects are being held at the Cook County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Wisconsin for charging. This is an on going investigation. The Sun Prairie Police Departments wants to thank the public for there assistance in providing important information during this investigation.

Suspect(s):
Female, white, early 20's, 5'7" to 5'8", thin build, 100 lbs., no glasses, wearing a dark colored ski coat, and a blue hat with stripes at its base.

Details:
This morning, around 10:30 a.m., a woman walked into the Chase Bank, 4225 East Towne Blvd., and passed a note to a teller indicating a robbery. The woman fled with money.

The MPD and the Sun Prairie Police Department are sharing information to determine if this robbery might be linked another that took place in Sun Prairie yesterday.

Sun Prairie Police want information on a Thursday afternoon bank robbery.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Summit Credit Union in the 13-hundred block of Main Street in Sun Prairie.

Police say a younger woman came into the bank, said she had a bomb, then demanded cash.

She's still on the loose and was last seen wearing a white coat with multi-colored stripes and blue jeans.
