Police are searching for the person responsible for an armed robbery outside of the Red Roof Inn on Hayes Road in Madison.
Officers received the call about the crime just after 4:30 this morning.
Dispatchers say it happened in a parking lot and did not involve anyone employed at the Inn.
The person responsible for the crime is believed to have fled the scene in a car. There are no reports of any injuries.
