Madison police are investigating several home burglaries in west side neighbors that all involve criminals getting in or trying to get in through sliding glass doors.

Police responded a a burglar alarm Monday morning in the 2400 block of Trevor Way. In this case, the alarm seems to have scared off the intruder and nothing was stolen.

On Saturday, a Heim Ave. couple discovered that a burglar had gotten into their home while they were sleeping. The criminal broke their patio door and stole cash.

Last Friday, a resident returning from vacation found the sliding glass door to her Arbor Vitae Pl. home shattered. The burglar searched through her drawers and closets, but did not find anything valuable to steal.
