Wednesday night the Brentwood neighborhood gathered for a walk to promote strength and protection on their streets.
They're coming together, after a shooting on Brentwood Street a few weeks ago, left police searching for persons of interest and a community shaking in fear.
Madison mayor and police joined the walk today in support of the community.
The walk that was organized by the Brentwood Neighborhood Association and stretched around the area where shots took place was the first of its kind in the neighborhood.
“People get very emotional about what happened that night and there was a lot of gun fire that went on, we just felt like we need it to come together,”said President of Brentwood Veighborhood Association, Dolly O'laughlin.
