From the Dane County Sheriff's Office:

Madison, WI. August 6, 2012 – Two Madison men are in the Dane County Jail today on numerous charges, including armed robbery, after Dane County Sheriff’s deputies went on a foot chase when the suspects’ get-a-way car crashed into another vehicle in the town of Dunn.

A Sheriff’s deputy came upon the two-vehicle crash on USH 51 near Bible Camp Road at approximately 7:20 am on Sunday, August 5th. The at-fault vehicle, a 2006 Buick LaCrosse, was stuck in the ditch but the driver and his passenger were attempting to free the vehicle and leave the scene. When the two male occupants, Dashun K. With the assistance of Stoughton and McFarland Police, a perimeter was established and deputies soon had both men in custody. During the search, information was obtained from Stoughton Police that the two suspects had just committed a strong-armed robbery at the Wal-Mart in Stoughton.

In addition to numerous criminal charges from Stoughton Police, the Sheriff’s Office is charging the driver, Dashun K. Williams with Criminal Obstructing and Hit and Run. He was also cited for Operating Left of Center, Operating While Suspended, Failure to Notify Police of an Accident and No Insurance. His passenger, Pierre J. Williams, was arrested for Criminal Obstructing and cited for Passenger Failure to Notify Police of an Accident.

The second vehicle involved in the crash was a 1999 Honda Civic operated by Clinton L. Northcutt, age 41 of Stoughton. He was not injured in the crash.
