The Beloit Police Department is investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred on Sunday, January 6th at about 6:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Public Av. The suspect is described as a B/M, 5’7”-5’8”, and slim build. The suspect was wearing a black nylon jacket with a hooded
sweatshirt underneath. The suspect had the hood pulled up and was wearing some type of covering over his face. The suspect was armed with a handgun.
The victim of the robbery had driven to the ATM machine in this block to make a withdrawal. The suspect approached the victim on foot and forced his way into the vehicle. After making the withdrawal, the suspect forced the victim to drive to the intersection of College St. and Bushnell Av. and ordered the victim out of the vehicle. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
The victim was not physically harmed. The vehicle was recovered on 01/07/13 in the 400 block of Harrison Av.
