Details
A frightened west side woman called her boyfriend after several young men began hanging outside of her Odana Lane apartment Friday afternoon. The doorbell was ringing and then she heard a rattling at the backdoor. Her boyfriend, and two of his friends, arrived just after one of three suspected burglars entered the apartment through a kitchen window. The two other suspects were waiting for the first to open the door, and fled as the boyfriend gave chase. The burglary suspect, who had gained entry, also tried to run but was punched a couple of times by the boyfriend. The boyfriend told him to stay down as police were on their way. The teen was treated at a hospital for a head injury before being taken to jail on a tentative charge of burglary. His accomplices were not immediately located.
