Release from Beaver Dam Police Department:

The Beaver Dam Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at 6:45p.m. on August 8, 2012 at the New Image Hair Salon at 401 N. Lincoln Ave. in the City of Beaver Dam. This business is located in a residential neighborhood near the intersection of N. Lincoln Ave. and Walnut St.

A white male, described as being in his late 20's to early 30's entered the hair salon and requested to speak to somebody at the cash register. When the employee approached, the male demanded cash from the register and was given an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. Though no weapon was displayed, several witness report seeing what they believe was the handle from a handgun extending from the suspect's jacket pocket.

The suspect fled the hair salon on foot. Our agency was assisted for a period of time by the Dodge County Sheriff's Department's K9 unit. We believe that based on their assistance, the suspect fled in a northwest direction from the business.

The suspect is fully described as a white male in his late 20's to early 30's wearing blue jeans and a dark blue jacket. The suspect was also wearing a faded black stocking hat with unknown writing and a white industrial style dust mask and sunglasses.
