Press Release from the Rock Co. Sheriff's Office:
On August 23, 2012, at 9:14 a.m., Rock County Deputies were dispatched to the First National Bank at 2636 South Highway 51, Rock Township, for a robbery that just occurred. Information was given out that the suspect left southbound driving a tan compact style car. As deputies were coming into the area, they were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
Upon arrival at First National, investigation reveals that a white male who appeared to be possibly in his mid-twenties handed a teller a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed and the suspect left with an undetermined amount of money.
The white male is described as possibly 5'10"-6'0", approximately 250-275 lbs. The suspect was wearing a brown in color long sleeve sweater, blue jeans, black frame sunglasses and a tan colored woven style hat with an unknown emblem on front. (See attached photos)
The suspect description resembles that of a Kenosha County bank robbery that occurred on July 30, 2012. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Rock County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 757-2244 or your local law enforcement agency.
