Details
A pizza delivery driver needed to take a quick pit stop for a bathroom break early Saturday morning. So he pulled into a W. Washington Ave. service station. He parked in the front, leaving the car running and unlocked; his Falbo Brothers Pizzeria bag on the back seat. During his hiatus the 1998 Honda disappeared. At first, he suspected coworkers of playing a trick, and he walked around the Mobil with hopes of finding his car the back lot. No luck, so he called 911. A couple of hours later, around 5:00 a.m., his stolen car was found in the 2900 block of East Washington Ave. It has been abandoned in a traffic lane. A responding officer surmised that it may have run out of gas. The thief, the victim's car keys, and his pizza bag were nowhere to be found.
