Concerned citizens told police they believed a woman, who was part of a loud argument on North St. Friday night, had a gun tucked in her waistband. The woman was later seen near the car.
Officers located the vehicle, and a handgun and ammunition were found inside. The car's owner legally owns both, and told police that no gun was produced during the argument.
However, Shawanda M. Baggett, age 21, later admitted to having the man's gun in her waistband. She said she did not point it at anyone during the dispute. She and Rickey L. Jones, age 33, were arrested for disorderly conduct.
