MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Madison police say a woman suspected of causing a drunken crash was still drinking when officers arrived to investigate.
A Wisconsin State Journal report (http://bit.ly/1k1eslk ) says the 41-year-old crashed in an intersection Saturday about 1:40 a.m. Police say she may have knocked down a light pole.
Authorities say the Madison woman walked to a nearby business and reported the incident to staff members. Police say officers who responded arrived to find her still drinking alcohol.
She was arrested on tentative charges including second-offense driving while intoxicated.
Police say her car sustained significant damage but she escaped with only minor injuries.
