The Town of Madison police arrested a man Wednesday after he was caught suspiciously walking around someone's property.
According to a release, officers were called to the Dane Street area just after 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Residents saw gardening tools and other property under their bedroom window and a man walking by their neighbor's driveway.
He tried leaving the scene in a vehicle as officers arrived.
Two people were inside.
Town of Madison police say the driver was cited for traffic violations and released.
The passenger, 55-year-old Michael Buchanan, was arrested for possession of THC and a parole violation and booked into the Dane County jail.
The Town of Madison Police Department is also requesting charges for burglary to a building, theft and possession of burglary tools.
