On February 8th, 2012 at approximately 7:16am, Madison Police Officers responded to 4710 Helgesen (Dawes Crane Rental) reference damage to property and a significant theft from the area. Officers noted that the unidentified suspect(s) entered the secure fenced in business perimeter, and cut a multitude of copper wire which had a replacement value of $30,000.00. Several cranes that were on the property had racial epitaphs painted in yellow coloring on the machinery, and the stolen wire is best described as being 1”-2” in diameter, and each were 279’ in rolled length. Both the theft and damage would have occurred between Tuesday, February 7th 5:30p and Wednesday, February 8th at 7am.
