CrimeTracker 15: Attempted Robbery in Janesville

Posted Monday, April 30, 2012 --- 5:30 p.m.

From the Janesville Police Department:

On 04-30-2012 at 12:06 p.m. Janesville Police Department officers were dispatched to a report of an attempted robbery at the Woodman’s gas station located at 2915 N. Lexington Dr.

The female clerk reported a White/Male entered the store concealing his identity and demanding money from the cash register.

No weapon was seen.

The clerk did not cooperate and the suspect ran from the store without getting money.

When the suspect exited the store he ran behind the Hacienda Real Mexican restaurant and may have fled in a blue Chevrolet Corvette described by witnesses as being a late 1980 to early 1990 model.

The suspect is described as a being M/W with dark hair, between 30 to 45 years old. He was wearing a blue ski mask, dark colored sweatshirt, and dark blue or black pants.

At this time the suspect has not been identified.
