UPDATE: CrimeTracker 15: Baraboo Police Look for Stabbing Suspect

UPDATED Thursday, April 5, 2012 --- 9:55 a.m.

Release from Baraboo Police Department:

On April 5, 2012 at approx. 4:00am Keane J. Singleton was taken into custody by the City of Madison Police Department with assistance by the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation and Detectives from the City of Baraboo.

Singleton was taken into custody in the City of Madison on Allied Drive with the assistance of a Police K-9 while hiding in the basement of a residence.

Singleton was not injured in the incident; however, was taken to Meriter Hospital because of suspected excessive alcohol or drug intake.

He remains under guard at Meriter Hospital awaiting transfer to the Sauk County Jail.

Release from Baraboo Police Department:

On Saturday March 31, 2012, at approximately 4:06 pm officers from the Baraboo police department responded to a reported disturbance in the 900 block of Moore Street in the City of Baraboo.

Police located a 21-year-old female who had been stabbed by her boyfriend. She received multiple puncture wounds and was transported to a local hospital before being transferred to a Madison hospital. The wounds are serious but do not appear life threatening at this time.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time.

Police are still looking for the suspect, Keane J. Singleton 25 year old black male. Singleton is possibly operating a blue Ford Expedition, WI plate 550-PRP, and has ties to the Madison area. It is unknown if he is still armed and if located; call your local police immediately. Anyone with information on this or any crime should contact the Baraboo police department at 608-355-2720, or the Sauk County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-TIP-SAUK.

The Baraboo police have been assisted by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office and Baraboo Ambulance.
