CrimeTracker 15: Bicycle Thefts At UW-Madison

From the UW-Madison Police Department:

Madison, Wisconsin – The UW-Madison Police Department is reporting an increase in thefts of bicycles on campus.

The UWPD is asking you to be aware of suspicious activity and report the behavior to police.

If you have a bicycle in the downtown area, please use a heavy duty bicycle lock to secure your bicycle to an approved bicycle parking rack. Also, be sure to lock removable wheels to the frame and the rack with your lock.

If you have information about these thefts, please contact the UW Madison Police Department or Madison Area Crimestoppers.

    Majority of bike locks are so cheap ..plastic basically (china made I am noticing). Use 2 be secure locks, not so much anymore.
