Incident Type: Residential Burglary

Details: Two more reports of copper pipes being cut out and stolen from the basements of south side homes have come in, bringing to 3 the number of similar cases in the last week.
None of the homes is currently occupied. As was stated in an Incident Report posted yesterday, the burglary first reported to the MPD - on Pine St. - came in last Friday. Two days later, on Sunday, February 12th, a 55-year old man contacted dispatch after finding approximately 80-feet of piping missing from his Badger Lane home.
Yesterday, a 37-year old woman reported 45-feet of copper had been cut out her house on Salem Dr. Anyone with information on these cases is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
