CrimeTracker 15: Dane County Deputies Stop Thief In The Act

From the Dane County Sheriff's Office:

Madison, WI. April 24, 2012 – At about 12:35 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies interrupted a thief in the process of stealing approximately $2300.00 worth of metal.

Deputies, along with a Stoughton Police Officer, responded to Bruno Boiler and Generator located at 1005 CTH A in the town of Albion, after receiving a tip that there may be a theft in progress. When they arrived they found Jeffrey F. Kai, age 48 of Edgerton, filling his pick-up truck with metal belonging to the business.

Kai was booked into the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of theft, along with a warrant for theft out of Rock County and a Probation Hold. He was also cited for OWI-1st offense and Operating After Revocation.
