Release from Rock County Sheriff's Office:
Recently, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating several burglaries that occurred in the Janesville/Fulton township areas. Typically, the burglaries are committed by at least two persons between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
During a few of the burglaries, the homeowners were present but pre-occupied in another room, while the suspects searched for items to steal. In one burglary, the suspects cut a telephone line before entering the residence, however, in every burglary, the suspects have forced their way into the residence by breaking a window or door.
The Sheriff’s Office advises citizens to be watchful in their communities during these hours and report suspicious activity to the 911 Center.
