From the Janesville Police Department:

On 12-26-11 at approximately 1:00 p.m. Janesville Police officers were dispatched to a robbery at Taco Bell, 2626 Humes Road. A Male/White entered the female restroom and took approximately $100 dollars from a female. The suspect did not show a weapon and the female was not injured. The suspect was not located.

On 12-27-11 at approximately 10:43 a.m. Officers were dispatched to McDonald’s restaurant at 2922 N. Pontiac Dr. A female reported being confronted by a male/white subject inside the female restroom. Using information from the victim and witnesses, a suspect description and suspect vehicle description was dispatched to local law enforcement agencies.

A Rock County Sheriff’s Deputy located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description and stopped the vehicle on STH 51 between Janesville and Beloit. The operator of that vehicle was questioned and eventually arrested for his involvement in both incidents.

The following suspect was arrested:

Michael D. Cunningham, M/W DOB 02-15-82
102 Cleveland St. Beloit, WI
Charge: Attempted Theft (Inc.#11-15427), Robbery by Threat of Force 943.32(1)(b), and Probation Hold.(Inc.#11-15390)

Cunningham is currently being held at the Rock County Jail.
