Release from Sun Prairie Police Department:

On January 14, 2012 Christopher T Boyce was taken into custody and transported to the Dane County Public Safety Building. The Sun Prairie Police Department has charged Christopher Boyce with substantial battery.

From the Sun Prairie Police Department:

On January 7, 2012 at 3:28 a.m., the Sun Prairie Police responded to Stop N Go at 9 Tower Dr. in Sun Prairie for a non-fatal stabbing.

A brief altercation took place in the parking lot between two individuals resulting in the victim being stabbed in the chest.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.

Sun Prairie Police are seeking public assistance in locating the suspect involved in this crime. He has been identified as Christopher T. Boyce, male black, born 05/30/83. He has ties to Sun Prairie, Monona and Madison.

This was an isolated incident and at this time, there are no further details that can be released.
