Details:
A 20-year-old UW-Madison student contacted the MPD Wednesday afternoon wanting to report a strong-armed robbery that occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning (1/22/2012).

The victim said he was walking on N. Broom St., just south of State St., when he was blindsided with a blow to the head. He believes he was punched. He knows he was knocked down. While on his belly, he says one robber held him down with a forearm to the back, while a second took money from his pocket. He saw the men run north on Broom St.

He did not realize how significant his injuries were until he went to a medical clinic on Tuesday. There he learned he suffered several facial fractures during the attack.

The cops might have a better chance of catching criminals if people would not wait so long to report crimes. I don't get it.

Just think if the city spent as much time on Crime Prevention, Muggings, Gangs and Heroin as they do on Parking Enforcement.

I agree with you completely. Unfortunately the people that do this are already a huge tax burden and they need hard working citizens to support the scum of society....
