Release from Rock County Sheriff's Department:
A possible burglary in progress to a residence on State Highway 59 in Lima Township, in Rock County, was reported at 12:53pm today.
The witness owns the property on Hwy 59 and rents it to his son and daughter.
The witness was working at an adjacent property when he saw a van pull up to his children’s residence and go inside.
The renters of the property were not home at the time.
The witness confronted one of the two occupants of the van. Once the witness called 911, the suspects left the area, driving toward Milton.
Milton Police Officers soon observed the van in the City of Milton. Law Enforcement Officers from the Milton Police and Rock County Sheriff’s Office stopped the van and took the two occupants into custody.
One of the occupants was wanted on a felony probation violation. Investigation is currently being conducted into the suspected burglary.
Names of the suspects are not being released while the case in under investigation.
