Details: Madison Police were able to track down and arrest one of three teens who robbed an Avoca man of his wallet in the West Towne Mall parking lot Wednesday afternoon. Later, the 16-year old suspect battered a 34-year old Juvenile Reception Center employee. The teen was then transferred to the Dane County Jail. The initial victim said he met up with the three suspects inside the mall and agreed to take them to his car so that he could give them cigarettes.

The victim is a heroin addict but denied this crime was related to a drug deal. Once the four got to the victim's car, he was punched and robbed of his wallet. He provided good descriptions of the suspects, and one was arrested after he was spotted walking on Gammon Rd. near the W. Beltline Hwy.

He had, in his pocket, a significant amount of cash. It was the exact amount the victim said had been stolen. A second person of interest was also located, but the victim was unable to immediately make a positive ID. The arrested teen, who at first gave a fake name, was taken to the JRC. There, he punched the staff member in the face and chest.

The stern "talking to" he will get will surely dissuade the little thug from doing this again . . . .
