Details from Platteville Police Department:
UW-Platteville reports that a strong-armed robbery attempt occurred immediately adjacent to campus Saturday 7/7/2012 at approximately 11 p.m.
According to two university employees, two males approached them on the sidewalk north of Ullsvik Hall and demanded money.
The suspects, both described as black males, indicated they had a gun, although no gun was ever observed.
The subjects did push one of the victims to the ground in an apparent attempt to take money. After the altercation the suspects fled.
University police are asking for assistance from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity. Call (608) 342-1584.
