On Sunday, two residents who live on Dawes Street in Madison reported finding their cars damaged.
Police say it's a result of an acid like substance poured on different parts of the vehicles.
Fred Svenson, one of the victims, says the damage has left his car needing repairs that would cost him an estimate of $3,000.
Lt. Wayne Strong thinks Svenson and the other victim, who live just two doors down from each other, might have been targeted
“The relative close proximity of the two vehicles does leads us to believe that the two incidents are related ,” said Lt. Strong.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact police.
