CrimeTracker 15: Victim Dragged During Attempted Purse-Snatching

From the Fitchburg Police Department:

On 01/13/2012 at approximately 7:37 PM the Fitchburg Police Department responded the Copps Food Market, 3010 Cahill Main, for an attempted armed robbery complaint.

The victim was walking in the parking lot when a dark colored SUV pulled up next to her. The suspect reached out the driver’s window and grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim did not let go of the purse and was dragged by the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle also ran into a car parked in the parking lot. The victim received minor injuries.

The suspect was described as being a Hispanic or light skinned male black, with a beard, and wearing a dark colored stocking cap and a black sweatshirt. The vehicle the suspect was driving is a dark colored SUV with possible front end damage on the driver’s side.
