From the Town of Madison Police:

The 22-year-old victim was in his apartment (600 block Skyview Place) Thursday afternoon and using the intercom and security lock function of his apartment complex; he talked with a subject and allowed this subject entry into the building.

The victim thought he allowed a friend into the apartment complex but was mistaken.

The victim also unlocked the door to his apartment to allow entry into his apartment (since he thought he knew who he allowed into the apartment building). The victim was in his kitchen when he was confronted by two men, one of them pointing a handgun at the victim.

One of the suspects was known to the victim as "Will."

"Will" demanded the victim provide them money. The victim told Will he was recently robbed and had no money. Will told the suspect with the gun, "Shoot him, kill his a--." The suspects then started rummaging through the victim's belongings.

The victim ran out of the apartment and started pounding on neighboring apartment doors asking someone to call police.

The victim was able to watch the suspects leave the building and obtained a description of the vehicle they were driving. The victim followed the suspect vehicle on foot and provided updated information tot he 911 operator via cell phone.

The suspect vehicle was located at a gas station on Verona Road by a Town of Madison detective. With the assistance from the City of Madison, a high risk traffic stop was executed and three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Stolen items from the victim were located in the vehicle along with a realistic looking black pellet gun.

Excellent information provided by the victim in this case helped law enforcement located the vehicle. With the cooperation between local law enforcement agencies, the suspects in the case were caught quickly and taken into custody without anyone being injured.

Arrested:
William A. Reed
Shaquielle O. Boone-Richards
Richard L. Johnson
