Incident Report from the Madison Police Department:

Incident Type: Graffiti Complaint

Incident Date: 01/31/2012 - 5:52 AM

Address: near Portage Ave.

Victim: Female, age 32, Madison

Details: A North Side woman contacted police Tuesday morning after discovering words written in water-based paint on her car. It had been parked in a driveway, and a criminal left behind words that were seemingly conflicting, as some represented sentiments of white supremacists, while others were more symbolic of an African American gang.

The woman, who is black, did not know of anyone who might target her. The responding officer helped her wash paint from the car.
