Press Release from the Dane Co. Sheriff's Office:
Madison, WI. March 14, 2012 – At approximately 10:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13th, a Dane County Sheriff’s deputy just beginning his shift responded to a home alarm at Sunnyside Street in the town of Dunn.
As the deputy approached the house and began checking around the outside, he observed a man in dark clothing walking away. The deputy ordered the man to stop, but instead the man ran and a foot chase ensued. The deputy chased him into a marshy area, where he was taken into custody. Roosevelt G. Price, age 22 of South Carolina, is currently being held in the Dane County Jail. He was booked in on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property, and obstructing.
After further inspection of the home, there was evidence that Price had entered the house by force through a patio door, and then tore the home alarm panel off the wall before fleeing.
