A Beloit man is in custody after leading Edgerton officers on a police chase.
It happened Monday, May 21st at about 12:13 p.m.
Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on Ronald C. Williams II on Stoughton Rd. on Edgerton's west side. They were looking for Williams as part of an ongoing investigation. Williams also had outstanding warrants through Rock County and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Police say Williams refused to stop, and led officers on a short pursuit through the Edgerton downtown area at speeds reaching 40 mph.
Williams pulled into a driveway at 207 E. Lawton Street and led officers on a brief foot pursuit.
He was taken into custody and will face charges of knowingly fleeing an officer, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle after revocation and speeding, in addition to two warrants.
